THE SENIOR BAND
THE SENIOR BAND

About our band...
Uttoxeter Town Band was reformed as a community band in 1996 in memory of the late Alan Booth, a local peripatetic teacher of the area. We are a self funding community brass band welcoming players of all ages and abilities.
Through concerts & other engagements we aim to entertain, educate and encourage people in all communities to participate and enjoy.
We have been fortunate in the past to have received financial help and support from the local council, in particular Councillor Geoff Morrison, The Staffordshire County Council, The Staffordshire Local Community Fund and the Staffordshire Community Foundation.
We rehearse every Tuesday Evening: The Dove Church, Stone Road, Uttoxeter, ST14 7QW.
Uttoxeter Town Band's Musical Director since October 2010 has been Rob Smith. Rob is no stranger to the band as he has been a regular for a number of years playing in the Bass section and deputising conductor. Rob's playing career started with the Salvation Army in Camborne (Cornwall) Rob played with number of S.A. bands before moving into the "contesting arena". Rob has played with various contesting bands from 4th to Championship section in both the South West & Midlands Regions.
The band is always on the look out for new players and is especially keen to encourage beginners to take up a brass instrument, which can be supplied by the band
